Shy visitor: Black-hooded Cuckooshrike
May 15, 2018
Delightful morning. Waited with breathless anticipation wondering if this new visitor to the mango tree could be captured for posterity. Each time it shyly disappeared between the leaves in the canopy, my arms ached with holding the heavy lens. Finally 20 minutes later she had condescended to appear on a lower branch and I got my desired frames. And then furious reading up trying to correctly classify this creature. Done! Feel so satisfied! And then get corrected by an expert bird watcher- even better!
