Poems

Lonely silences

Stories
Which needed to be
Purged from my system
To diminish the poison
Which flows within,
Lie unsaid—
Frantically seeking
A patient ear.

Glances
Heavy with meaning
That went unread—
Unload the weight of their tears
In the darkness of the night.

Tired limbs—
Weary of carrying
The burden of loneliness
Are in wordless pursuit
Of a sympathetic shoulder
To lean on.

Conversations which will never happen
Unsaid words which will never be read
Empathy which will always be distant
Why seek unattainable dreams?
