Naina da kya kasoor

It starts off slowly. As the lilting music emerges from the piano, your fingers start tapping. And when the guitar strings, piano keys and the percussionist begin belting out the peppy rhythm, your heart wants to start dancing. If there is one song which has me hooked since the last few weeks, it is Naina da kya kasoor from Andhadhun.

Jaideep Sahni’s lyrics are fresh, simple and repetitive. And they will have you singing along instantly. But what completely suits the song is Amit Trivedi’s voice. Listen to it twice on the loop and you will get addicted. And as for the hai hai towards the end, perfectly synchronized with the piano notes, it always ends up leaving me amused. Perfect feel-good number which makes the world around you seem wonderful.

I have been a huge Amit Trivedi fan since I saw Dev D. He killed it with Patna ke Presley and their Emoshnal Atyachar. Another recent album which I loved has been Kedarnath. And some numbers from Manmarziyaan. But I am sure there are many more to write about.

There is much to admire in the soundtrack of Andhadhun. The two piano themes created by Amit Trivedi and played by Jarvis Menezes are fantastic. Another number by the Trivedi- Menezes duo is the Laila Laila number. The catchy “mere dil ke dil ke dil ke bhi dil mein hai tu” lyrics have been playing on my lips non-stop. Here, enjoy the song:
