Poems

Far away

Beyond the cities and the crowds
Beyond the plains and the people
Far away,
Perhaps there is silence,
Silence that shrouds our beings.

I’ve had enough
Of managing
Worlds, words and wisdom.
Somewhere the silence of the soul
Has been lost
In the cacophony of living.

Far away —
By myself
Maybe I will find
A reason to live
Bereft of counsel and clamour.

Away from the noise
In the silences
Far away.
